RESULTS OF THE SCOTTISH ADVERTISING AWARDS 2009 ANNOUNCED
The annual Scottish Advertising Awards were held on Friday 9th October at the Hilton in Glasgow.
The event was attended by creatives from the industry as clients and suppliers. Those up for nomination waited to hear whether they had impressed the judging panel and earned themselves a commendation or award.
Scooping the top awards were Mightysmall who took home The Drum Grand Prix for their Communications Workers Union Campaign. The Leith Agency were awarded Dave Trott’s Chairman’s award for AG Barr Spot the difference, old man.
Client of the Year went to Scottish Government, Media Buying Point of the Year to MediaCom Edinburgh and Adverting Agency of the Year to Newhaven Communications.
Lifetime Achievement Awards was given to Jan Morris for her dedication to the Direct Marketing industry. Outstanding Contribution to the Industry went to Simon Mallinson for his commitment, passion and work he has produced for the creative industry.

SCOTTISH AD AWARDS 2009 JUDGING WITH DAVE TROTT
The judging day was great fun and as you can see by the picture below, Dave Trott of CST Advertising really enjoyed his Scottish delicacy - a deep fried Mars bar!.

The Scottish Advertising Awards allow advertising agencies and those producing creative advertising work to demonstrate to peers, clients and potential clients just how good they are. The awards celebrate and promote the skills and successes of the Scottish Advertising Industry.
AN EVENING WITH DAVE TROTT
On Wednesday 12th August, Dave Trott and fellow Scottish Advertising Awards judge Mark Denton took part in a MIN Q&A session with the industry. Those who came along were treated to a fascinating couple of hours as Dave and Mark took questions from the audience.
It was also broadcast live on twitter and people from as far a field as Alabama tuned in to see what Dave had to say.
