If there’s one thing students like even more than cheap lager and traffic cones it’s the chance to show off just how creative they can be. This year nine of the creative industry’s leading lights put students to the test with some taxing briefs. The Drum presents this year’s winning work.
Getting more than 100 students together in the same place at the same time is usually a recipe for a demonstration. Maybe it’s the abolition of student fees or better standards of accommodation they’re after, or simply a better quality cheese toastie at the Student Union. However, Wednesday 12 March saw over 200 creative students and industry creatives gather at Cube in Manchester for this year’s MPA Roses Student Creativity Awards, at which the future of regional creativity pitted its wits against creative briefs set by nine leading agencies.
