MediaVest and Manchester

England & Wales

MediaVest

MediaVest may have dropped its Manchester moniker, but the gritty northern soul that helped it become the first agency outside London to hit the £200m turnover mark remains steadfast. So, with its reinvigorating makeover, what now for its partners Dave Lucas and Andy Jeal? Well, breaking the £300m barrier, of course.

Sir Alex Ferguson rarely admits to ‘dropping’ his underperforming Manchester United players. Instead, he blunts the prickly pencils of the assembled sports press with well-honed PR spiel. “They’re just being rested,” he’ll tell the hacks. Meeting MediaVest partners Dave Lucas and Andy Jeal at the agency’s Manchester base, it’s almost as if they’ve been taking notes from the city’s foremost football manager.

Despite the media colossus’ statement earlier this month announcing that its moniker, MediaVest Manchester, was to be no more – in favour of just MediaVest – the pair insist it’s unfair to say they’ve dropped  Manchester.
