Why (and when) did you decide to make the move?
Just over four years ago, as a result of producing our long-term vision and strategic business development plan, we decided that potential market growth in our home base, Aberdeen, though strong, would not be sufficient to provide the dynamic environment required to challenge and develop our people nor deliver the level of growth that we aspired to. Having looked at various options and models for expansion we decided that our most exportable asset was our expertise in the energy sector. Thereafter it was a case of identifying the key international centres of management and development for the oil and gas industries.
