When developing web applications there comes a point when you start to push at the boundaries of its base technologies. HTML was designed to present hypertext documents, with its initial incarnations not even supporting the display of images. With the rise of broadband driving the demand for richer experience, over time we’ve managed to push the HTML + JavaScript paradigm to extraordinary lengths.
