This is an excellent opportunity for an exceptiaonl web design graduate to join one of Newcastle's finest agencies in a junior digital media design role. You will be a confident and skilled Junior Web Designer with proficiency in all the usual programs and looking to start your career in web design. You will be passionate about web design and online marketing and advertising, self-motivated and willing to ‘go the extra mile’ to design and create stunning work to tight deadlines. Enthusiastic, flexible, reliable, capable of working alone or as part of a team and be able to demonstrate a genuine desire to learn. You will be able to demonstrate a great eye for design and will also have excellent technical skills paricularly within HTML, CSS, Flash and Photoshop.

Working alongside the agency’s senior interactive designer, you will be required to actively contribute to the design of collateral for online advertising and marketing campaigns and websites and with guidance, be able to take designs from concept to inception.

As well as being creatively and technically capable, you must have good communication skills with a flexible attitude, enjoy a challenge and be full of enthusiasm.

Skills and Qualifications
Essential
• Adobe PhotoShop and Adobe Flash
• Excellent layout skills with an exceptional eye for detail
• Good working knowledge of XHTML and CSS
• Able to build web pages either from your own designs or designs produced by other members of the team.
• Able to work on numerous projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment with frequently changing priorities
• Good communication skills
• Desire to learn and work as part of a team
• Ideally proficient in both Mac and PC platforms.

Desirable

• A good working knowledge of JavaScript / Action Script would be advantageous
• A degree or equivalent qualification in web design or similar
