How do I post a job?
Posting a job is easy. After posting a job you will be given access to your own Control Panel to enable you to make any changes to your listing during the time your job is advertised.
STEP 1
- Complete your company details. The email address input here will be hidden on the job listing.
- Complete your job description details. Once the job is online details can be amended through your Control Panel.
- Select the criteria for your job. This will ensure it is found by relevant job seekers through the online search and also be sent by email through the Job Alert service.
- Choose how long you would like your job to be advertised - the recommended option is a 4 week listing giving you maximum exposure at the best price. Remember you can take your job off at any time through your Control Panel.
- Upgrade your listing - highlight your job in 3 ways.

- Confirm the job details. If you would like to make any changes you can review.
- Preview how your listing will appear
STEP 3
- Confirm your credit card details
- On confirmation of your details the job will be posted online.
- You will receive an email confirming the transaction which will include details on how to log in to your Control Panel.
When will my job appear?
Your job will appear instantly within the online listings. It will also be automatically included in Job Alert Emails sent to applicants who have signed up to this service.
How will I receive responses?
Responses will automatically be sent to you via email as soon as a user completes the online form.
How do I promote the listing?
There are three ways you can promote the listing:
- Enhanced listing - Highlights the job and shows towards the top of the search results. Most recent jobs are shown at the top.
- Featured Job - Highlights the job in a dedicated panel on the recruitment front page. Users can also access Featured Jobs through links within the search function.
- Urgently Required - If you need to fill a job quickly. Highlights the job in a dedicated panel on the recruitment front page. Users can also access Urgently Required Jobs through links within the search function.
What will the listing look like?
The job listing will include the first few words of the description. A link will take users to the full job description.
How do I include my ad in The Drum magazine?
To ensure maximum visibility a job should be advertised within The Drum magazine, published fortnightly. This will support any online listing and will give you greater flexibility to show branding. Please call 0141 552 5858 or 0845 004 1165 for further details.
How long will my job be advertised for?
You can choose between two weeks or a month - make this selection when you fill in the job submission form.
