John Denholm is set to scale down the amount of time he spends working at The Leith Agency to dedicate more time to his non-executive directorship of a new recruitment consultancy.
An agreement drawn up with directors of The Leith means that Denholm will work at the ad agency four days per week and give one day a week to Denholm Associates, the recruitment consultancy recently established by his wife, Nikki Denholm.
When asked if this is a precursor to him leaving the ad industry altogether, Denholm said: “I suppose that depends on the timescale. If you say, in ten years then there’s every chance that within ten years I will, but I have no immediate plans to completely detach myself from The Leith. I still enjoy the business and we are doing well in London, so I would not really envisage anything changing in the next twelve months.”
Denholm Associates has now officially opened its doors at The Shore in Leith and is already working for a number of blue chip clients such as Coca Cola and Scottish Widows.
Denholm Associates has also recently taken two marketing recruitment specialists, David Pollock and Marisa Carrol, from Nikki Denholm’s former consultancy, ID Recruitment.
