The Scottish Conservative Party has denied speculation that one of the advertising agencies due to pitch for the account next week has pulled out at the last minute, following concerns about the length of time given to prepare the final presentation.
Industry sources indicated that Fraser Green had decided to pull put out of the pitch list with just over a week to go before the pitch was due to be made.
John Crawford of the Scottish Conservative Party has denied this speculation, claiming that that agency was concerned about timing, but had not officially pulled out. “I spoke to them and they did say that they weren’t too sure as to who would do the pitches. They were concerned about the timing, but it comes as news to me that they are pulling out, as I have heard nothing from them.”
Fraser was unavailable to comment as The Drum went to press. The remaining agencies are The Guy Robertson Partnership, Ten Alps and The Glasgow Agency. Pitches are due to take place on Monday and Tuesday of next week, with a decision to be made as soon as possible.
