Roseanne Grant, the former managing director of Score Outdoor Scotland, which was acquired by Clear Channel in July, has left the company with no position to move to.
After the acquisition of Score, bosses at Clear Channel decided to restructure the company. This saw Grant appointed managing director of Clear Channel UK Ambient, a brand new division within Clear’s More O’Ferrall business set to concentrate on large-format banner and special advertising sites.
However, it appears that much of the business was to be focused on the London market and Grant had no desire to relocate to the English capital.
Speaking of her decision to leave the company, Grant said: “It is clear that the banner division needs to be based in London, alongside Clear Channel’s main business, and I have no plans to relocate from Scotland.
“Having laid the groundwork for the new division, I would rather hand it on at this stage than continue to work on a project that I will not be part of going forward. I wish Clear Channel every success with the project.”
Jonathan Lewis, managing director of Clear Channel’s Billboard division, said: “I am sorry that Roseanne is leaving us but I fully understand her reasons. I am grateful for all the work she has done for us and wish her every success in the future. I am sure we will build a banner division that she will be proud of.”
Grant has been working in the outdoor advertising business since she joined Trainer Advertising in 1995 as a sales director. After Trainer was acquired by SRH and renamed Score, Grant was made MD for Scotland.
