McClue back on the air as Forth make changes

One of Scotland’s most outspoken radio presenters has returned to the airwaves as part of a new line-up of presenters at Radio Forth in Edinburgh.
Scottie McClue, who has become renowned for his no-holds-barred phone-in radio shows, is now hosting a two-hour phone-in show as part of Forth2’s Sunday schedule.
Other changes at ForthOne and Forth2, instigated by recently appointed programme controller Nik Goodman, see a swap between ForthOne breakfast host Darren Adam and his Forth2 counterpart Andy “Boogie” Bouglas, the arrival of Arlene Stuart from BBC Scotland and the return of dance music DJ Tom Wilson.
Bouglas will be joined on the extended ForthOne breakfast show by rising star Vicky Pitchers, who has previously worked at Capital and Virgin Radio.
Stuart will host a show on Forth2 from 10am-2pm, the first half of which will be quite news-based and the second half more lifestyle-focused with guest interviews such as Mick Hucknall and Gerry Rafferty.
Speaking of the changes, Goodman said: “The new line-up will appeal to our fantastically loyal listeners, who have always been with us, and brings an edge to both stations, which will attract new listeners.
“Listeners do have more choice now and we have more competition for their loyalty, which has to be earned. The most important thing is that we constantly review the products we are offering to stay ahead of the game.”
