icScotland make five redundant

Trinity Mirror’s Scottish local newspaper subsidiary Scottish & Universal Newspapers has made five redundancies from its icScotland website operation as the company prepares to roll-out eight regional websites, offering additional information to complement the group’s portfolio of local and regional newspapers.
S&UN Digital will be staffed by two content producers and one internet designer, who will be based at S&UN’s Hamilton headquarters, whilst one sales executive will remain in the Glasgow office. Scottish & Universal Newspapers took over control of the online side of Trinity Mirror’s Scottish business around a year ago and their flagship icScotland website will become a gateway to the regional sites. The areas that will be covered include Renfrewshire, West Lothian and Dumfries and Galloway.
