Leigh appointed deputy MD of Weber Shandwick

Manchester’s Weber Shandwick has announced that Steve Leigh is to step up to the new role of deputy MD.
Leigh will now be second in command to existing MD Jo Leah, following the recent departure of Rob Salmon, who had shared the top role with Leah since late 2000.
Leigh, previously an associate director and office head at Harrison Cowley, will now be charged with heading up the business corporate division and supporting Shandwick’s self confessed drive to be the region’s leading PR team.
Speaking about the developments at the firm Leah stressed, “ it was vital that we found a big hitter to strengthen our management team and we’re delighted to have Steve on board. Steve has a well established reputation in the region, having headed teams at both Communique and Harrison Cowley, and worked on clients including Sainsbury’s and The National Lottery.”
