Edinburgh City Council consider poster partner

Edinburgh City Council is considering the appointment of an outdoor advertising contractor to sell ad space on buildings under repair.
The contractor, if appointed, would erect billboard sites on scaffolding around buildings that have been served statutory notices by the council.
A spokesperson for Edinburgh City Council said: “The Council is in the early stages of exploring the possible use of advertising, sponsorship and city promotion shrouding in contracts carried out by the Council under Statutory Notice in certain locations. At this stage, we are investigating the costs, planning guidelines and options and we will report back to Council once those issues have been investigated.”
