Borders come to 1576

1576 has won the "vast" Scottish Borders New Ways Partnership account following a competitive pitch.
New Ways is a process supported by a host of public and private sector organisations in the Borders with the aim of achieving social and economic regeneration. The contract won by 1576 was awarded by Scottish Borders Council, S.B.T.B and Scottish Enterprise Borders as a New Ways initiative.
The project sees the agency appointed to initially handle a research exercise into how the Scottish Borders could better promote itself as a region which will ultimately lead to the development of creative work.
The pitch was against a number of agencies including The Leith Agency and The Union and 60 Watt.
Ruth Lees, Planning Partner at 1576 said “This is a vast project to be involved in, but our extensive experience of working with clients such as Glenmorangie and VisitScotland will stand us in good stead.”
Peter Maley, International Business Manager at Scottish Enterprise Borders said: “We are investigating new ways of promoting the Scottish Borders to a range of markets and audiences. We are delighted to have appointed 1576 to assist us with this work, and are confident that they will deliver an excellent job.”
