The Dunfermline Building Society marketer makes it onto the board

The Dunfermline Building Society has promoted sales and marketing general manager Brian Morton to board director.
The move marks the first time a marketer has been on the Society’s board as an executive director.
Dunfermline Building Society has recently returned to TV advertising with a campaign developed through Family, under Morton’s reign.
Graeme Dalziel, Dunfermline Building Society chief executive, said of the appointment: “It is essential for our members that we offer them a strong product in an increasingly competitive market place. Brian has consistently ensured we do just that – communicating the merits of these products and services as well as how we are committed to delivering long-term financial support to all our members.
“There is no doubt about it, Brian has earned his place on the board. Having a marketing presence at this level for the first time at the society is a signal of our belief that it is integral to achieving our growth ambitions.”
Morton joined The Dunfermline four years ago from the Newcastle Building Society, where he had spent 13 years.
