IPA unveil Adcock as regional chairman

The IPA has confirmed that Brian Adcock, executive director of business development at Robson Brown, is the new chairman of its regional council. Adcock succeeds John Keane of Ardmore Advertising & Marketing, who held the position from 2002 to date.
In taking on the role, Adcock will be responsible for IPA members in England, excluding those within the M25. His brief will include building the profile of the industry in the regions.
He began his career in marketing and advertising in 1972 with Proctor & Gamble, and has been a member of the IPA for 12 years. He worked for Trident Television and Tyne Tees Television, before moving to Robson Brown in 1989, and was chairman of the North East branch of the Institute of Marketing for two years.
In becoming chairman, Adcock, said: \"I am passionate about maintaining the professional standards of the industry, and during my office, I will be promoting training and campaigning for clients to recognise the benefits of working with IPA member agencies.\"
