After months of decision making, the North West Development Agency has confirmed the six agencies that have been appointed to make up their creative roster. Hemisphere, Madhouse, Creative Lynx, Loins Furnival, Refinery Marketing and Kaleidoscope are now tasked with a number of creative campaigns over a period of three years. The announcement concludes the search that began late last year.
The NWDA had originally received 65 tenders for its creative and design brief, having had to advertise the tender under procurement regulations, which was then reduced to a shortlist of ten. An NWDA panel hosted a pitch in April, where the final ten were asked to present their proposals, with the final six being chosen shortly afterwards.
Work has already started on a NWDA site, revealed head of marketing Nigel Dove: “We are please to have made these appointments, and are happy to say that work has already begun on a large piece of work for us on a site called Kingsway Rochdale. We look forward to working with the agencies in the future.”
Dive would not be drawn on the value of the creative account, although did admit that it was of a “reasonable and significant amount.”
However, suggestions that the NWDA had overspent last year and would have budgets frozen were denied.
