Scottish widows to appoint four marketing chiefs in restructure

Scottish Widows is currently in the process of appointing four marketing directors in a restructure of the marketing department following the resignation of marketing director Peter Jordan.
Nathan Kirwin has been appointed marketing director for protection of products. Kirwin previously worked at Abbey for Intermediaries for the past nine years.
Commenting on the appointment, Nathan Moss, managing director, marketing and distribution, said: “The appointment of Nick as market director for protection is a signal of our intent in the protection marketplace. We are constantly striving to enhance our specialist expertise in each of our chosen areas of business and, as one of the leading figures in the protection sector, Nick will certainly help us to achieve this.”
Meanwhile, Robert Rees has been appointed on an interim basis to the role of customer and brand director. Rees will remain in the role until a permanent replacement is found. The two other roles within the marketing department – director of retirement, income and planning and director of savings and planning will be appointed in due course.
