CuriousOranj joins up with Architecture firm

CuriousOranj has announced that Glasgow-based architecture practice McConville Architecture will join the company to form the CuriousGroup, establishing one of the countries largest multi-disciplined creative studios.
The decision to bring the two practices together comes after the two firms worked together on a variety of projects including the Oshi Restaurant at Langs Hotel in Glasgow and the Alona Hotel at Strathclyde Country Park.
The companies will now work together on forthcoming projects, offering a variety of design disciplines under the one banner of the CuriousGroup.
The formation of the Curious Group follows on from the announcement in April that CuriousOranj, which is headed up by Stephen Halpin and Steven Burns, was to bring together the graphic and interior teams, with Tony Coffield becoming creative director of the company. The move now allows McConville Architecture (which was formerly known as the Douglas McConville Partnership) to consolidate on its diverse experience in both design and architecture.
A spokesperson for the newly formed group said: “McConvilleArchitecture will benefit from the strong business structure which has been established at CuriousOranj over the past seven years, with the studio benefiting from another creative perspective.”
