BD-Ntwk retains Arla business against strong competition

BD-Ntwk has beaten three London-based marketing companies to retain the Arla Foods’ national below-the-line marketing account.
BD-Ntwk/Scotland, Arla Foods’ incumbent agency for the past six years, out-pitched the rest of the field following a rigorous four month review process.
The success has been billed by the agency as a major boost for the Scottish marketing industry. Arla Foods is the UK’s leading dairy company, with an annual turnover of £1.4 billion. The agencies reappointment is a clear sign that the Scotland’s marketing industry is continuing to grow in an increasingly competitive field.
Claire Hardy, managing director of bd-ntwk/Scotland, is delighted with the outcome: “This is a fantastic result for us. It’s an absolute credit to the dedication and commitment of our highly talented team based in Glasgow, and it is certainly a feather in Scotland’s creativity cap.
“Traditionally, London has had a strong hold over the national marketing industry and our win is indicative of Scotland continuing to buck the trend, and its resurgence in competing on a national level.”
Originally, appointed as the BTL agency for Arla brands, Lurpak, bd-ntwk/ Scotland’s portfolio has grown over the last six years to include Anchor and Cravendale fresh Milk, and now Café Met.
