Manchester’s Pravda has scored a major coup for the North by collecting the Neilson Holiday’s advertising account from London’s Hemisphere.
Neilson, best known for having over 20 years’ experience in the ski holiday market, will now be looking to Pravda for its through-the-line advertising and communications, although it has retained Hemisphere to work on brochure design. Neilson’s entire marketing budget is in excess of £2 m.
Pravda secured the business without a pitch and is now in the process of developing a completely new branding proposition and Christmas marketing campaign. The team will be looking to cement Neilson’s market-leading position, building on its reputation as a specialist in the active holiday field for customers looking for more than the traditional “fly and flop” holiday experience.
Speaking about the decision to appoint Pravda, Joe Lynch, Neilson’s marketing director, commented: “They inspired confidence from the moment they first presented to us. They have an unusual way of looking at things, but their strategic and creative thinking are first class.”
Pravda’s Tim Trapp added, “There’s huge potential to grow this area of the holiday market right now and we believe that Neilson has the product, the service and the passion to make the most of the opportunity. Obviously we share their passion and we’re very much looking forward to helping them sharpen their brand and become the leading name in activity holidays.”
