PHWT keep hold of Isuzu account

Midlands-based agency Palmer Hargreaves Wallis Tomlinson is understood to have been retained by International Motors to work on the firm’s Isuzu brand.
The agency lost out on the firm’s £6.5million Subaru business last month but is thought to have picked up the Isuzu brief – believed to be valued around the £1.5million mark – after competing against an undisclosed number of London-based agencies.
Both accounts had been handled by the agency for 14 years, however, the decision to double advertising spend was followed by a review of the business.
PHWT was invited to pitch for both accounts, but lost out on Subaru to London-based heavyweight Miles Calcraft Briginshaw Duffy last month.
When contacted, no-one at PHWT was available to discuss the Isuzu pitch or if the Subaru loss had resulted in any staff cutbacks.
A spokesperson for International Motors confirmed John Nealon, marketing director, would make an announcement shortly.
