Vivid on hunt for new creative director as Heaton leaves to set up Reform

Two senior creatives at Manchester-based Vivid have left the agency to set up their own agency. Creative director, Paul Heaton and, senior designer, Mat Thornton left the agency last month to form Reform Creative – and have already secured £500,000 worth of business with clients including Emap Radio, Community Arts Northwest and Royal Exchange Theatre.
Heaton, who was with Vivid for 11 months, and was previously creative director at Tucker Clarke Williams, said that the split was “amicable”.
Managing director at Vivid, Rachel Morgan commented: “Vivid wish Paul the very best for the future and we appreciate the quality of design work he produced while he was with us.”
She added: “We are looking for a creative head with the ability to work across our mix of consumer and business-to-business accounts with the passion, leadership and creativity to help us take Vivid to the next stage of its development.”
