Leeds Live it Love it brand is given official launch

Around 500 guests attended Leeds’ Victoria Quarter last night as marketing Leeds unveiled the eagerly awaited new brand for the city. The brand – Leeds Live it Love it – has been created by An Agency Called England, which also produced the launch video.
The event, which was presented by Radio One DJ Chris Moyles and sports anchor Gabby Logan, was attended by representatives from the world of business, media, entertainment, public sector and travel. Speaking on the night, international business woman and chairman of Marketing Leeds, Jan Fletcher, said: \"Leeds Live it Love it really evokes the pride and passion that people have about the city - and its buzz and vitality.
\"Everyone from residents, visitors, students, commuters and business people say the same thing: try Leeds and you\'ll love it. Like all great brands, \'Leeds Live it Love It\' tells a universal truth.\"
Kevin Johnson, Marketing Leeds\' chief executive, added: \"Our brand serves many purposes - it is a promise, a call to action and a statement of pride. Our proposition is neither selective nor specific; it is unconditional. It does not depend on social class, ethnicity, background, gender or upbringing. Leeds is a place where you can Live it and Love it.\"

The next issue of Adline, due out on 1 October, carries the full story behind the brand.
