National Grid Wireless – the company formed following the acquisition of Crown Castle UK by National Grid Transco – is understood to have appointed Rees Bradley Hepburn to handle a forthcoming communications campaign.
A three-way pitch between the Meriden-based agency, Cogent Elliott and McCann Erickson Central, is believed to have taken place with a decision being made last month. The business-to-business activity will involve relevant press advertising and direct marketing and will be centred on the firm’s customer relationships.
Following the merger, the firm has more than 14,000 wireless telecommunication sites, which it provides to high profile clients such as BBC, T Mobile and Orange.
RBH is also waiting on the imminent Cadbury World decision. The agency, alongside PHWT, Unsuitable and WAA, pitched for the account in September.
