TV brief reset by Liverpool Culture Company

As Adline was going to press it has emerged that the Liverpool Culture Company had set another brief for the much-publicised TV campaign that was expected to launch later this year.
Earlier in the year the firm – which is in charge of marketing the city in the run up to the 2008 City of Culture status – set a brief and five agencies were asked to pitch. However, once all the pitches had been heard the Culture Company withdrew the brief amid rumours that a new one was to be set.
It is now understood that a new brief has indeed been set and some of the same agencies – that last time around included McCann Erickson Communications House, True North, Love, Finch and River Media – have been asked to pitch for the account. It is also believed that CheethamBelJWTl is a new addition to the pitch list.
A national promotional campaign is expected to run in early 2006 with MediaVest Manchester tasked with handling the media buying and planning.
No one from the Culture Company was available for comment as Adline went to press.
