SMG appoints Elmwood to STV Rebranding task

Elmwood has been working closely with SMG to help define the repositioning, and create various applications, including brand identity and guidelines for the launch of a new unified identity for Scottish TV and Grampian TV later this year.
The television companies will come together under a single identity, known as STV, which will be unveiled to viewers via on-screen teasers and promos.
The group has also appointed Graeme Pattullo as sales director for SMG Television Sales. He will be responsible for the delivery of all airtime and sponsorship revenue across Scottish-based agencies and direct advertisers.
Patullo starting out at TVS in London before moving to Aberdeen as regional sales manager.
He has been with SMG Television Sales, working as sales manager (Scotland), head of business development and, now, sales director.
Pattullo was instrumental in the implementation of the micro-regional advertising.
Scottish TV and Grampian TV will continue to develop its localised news services for the North and South regions covered by North Tonight and the East and West regions covered by Scotland Today.
Pattullo’s appointment and the rebranding of Scottish TV and Grampian TV comes as SMG redefines its offering to advertisers. SMG Commercials is rumoured to be poised to rebrand from its parent group to operate as a standalone production company.
