Edinburgh agency assigned rebranding task

An Edinburgh agency has been given the task of rebranding the Scottish Administration for Amatuer Golf.
Tayburn has been hired to give The Scottish Golf Union (SGU), the body responsible for the administration of the amateur game in Scotland, a makeover.
Hamish Grey chief executive of the SGU said: “Increasingly the role of the SGU is to be at the forefront in positioning golf as a modern activity that is a huge asset for Scotland, both in the encouragement of youngsters to take up the sport and in the profile that the game of golf gives to Scotland on an international stage. We wanted an identity that reflected the confidence of the organisation going forward.”
Grey continued: "The new design features a lion rampant, the traditional badge of Scotland, placed on a Saltire, all contained within the shape of a golf ball."
Erick Davidson chairman of Tayburn stated: “I believe we have come up with a solution that has both stature and relevance for an organisation looking to play a pivotal role in the development of the game in Scotland.”
