Elmwood is looking for a new managing director for its Edinburgh office following the news that Nick Ramshaw is to relocate to Leeds to take on the role of managing director for the design agency’s office there.
Ramshaw will fill the vacancy left by the departure of Jayne Barrett, who has headed-up the Leeds office for the last six years.
Ramshaw revealed that the hunt to replace him as managing director of the Edinburgh office is well under way although he will stay in place officially until September.
Speaking of Ramshaw’s move to Leeds, Elmwood’s chairman Jonathan Sands said: “We are actively looking for a replacement for Nick in Edinburgh and have a couple of people in mind, but again, would also consider using this opportunity to step change our growth by acquiring a small business if necessary to add the skills we are looking for to the mix.”
Barrett has been working closely with Elmwood chairman Jonathan Sands for the last six months to develop learning and organisational plans for the company’s 70 plus worldwide employees. She will now set up a learning and organisational development business.
Barrett, through her new company, will be contracted to deliver and implement Elmwood's learning plan, albeit that she will also be free to work with other clients as well.
Ramshaw joined Elmwood as chief executive in 2003 from Edinburgh based design consultancy, Pure where he was business development director.
Elsewhere, Elmwood’s London MD, Don Landers, is also leaving the consultancy to move client side to pursue a senior marketing position.
