Crown Paints appoints BDH\\TBWA for design brief

Akzo Nobel has selected BDH\\TBWA to handle the design of the Crown Paints 2007 Colour Card, following a three-way pitch. The appointment consolidates Akzo Nobel’s relationship with the Manchester-based agency, which also works on above-the-line activity for the Crown Paints brand.
BDH\\TBWA has begun work immediately on the Colour Card, which is used by over 10 million customers every year. It is believed the latest designs will be used to launch a new direction for the brand when it goes live early next year.
Akzo Nobel account director at BDH\\TBWA, Graham Drury said: “Colour Cards play such a fundamental part in the paint buying process. Our concept is fresh and stylish but more importantly, really delivers the guidance and inspiration consumers want.”
