Glasgow City in search for Consultant for council sponsorship

Glasgow City Council is looking at allowing companies to sponsor council property and possibly.employees such as binmen.
The council is currently looking to recruit a consultant in its search for organisations who may be willing to advertise or sponsor floral displays, bins, roundabouts and employees’ uniforms.
A similar scheme is already employed by other city councils in Scotland, including Edinburgh and Aberdeen.
A spokesperson for Glasgow City Council confirmed: “We are seeking a consultant who would be an intermediary on our behalf to seek sponsorship from local, national and perhaps international, organisations and companies.
“Sponsorship and advertising deals would create income for the council and, of course, give opportunities to companies to increase their profile.”
