Airtours returns to TV after five-year absence

Clear Marketing is set to launch a new TV campaign for holiday company Airtours, its first for five years.
The new campaign, based around the catch-line ‘You’ll Like Where We’re Going’ follows a strategic brand review and will feature seven TV ads varying of 30 second and 10 second treatments, which will showcase the new product development, destinations and service initiatives being introduced by Airtours.
The Manchester based agency won the multi-million pound account in 2006.
The advertising campaign is part of a series of schemes undertaken in an attempt to reinvigorate the brand.
Tom Marsden, marketing and planning director for My Travel UK, owners of Airtours, said; “The simple, yet powerful brand positioning ‘You’ll Like Where We’re Going’ is an ideal platform to take the Airtours brand from strength to strength in 2007 and beyond. It’s also an idea that will resonate through all areas of the business, from our brochures and our websites to POS and direct mail campaigns.”
Marsden continued; “The new TV adverts encapsulated everything we wanted to say about the brand in a way which we found refreshingly intuitive and compelling and will help us demonstrate how Airtours is developing the package holiday model to meet today’s consumer needs.”
