Three in, one out for Birmingham’s golley slater

Golley Slater in Birmingham has launched a new TV advertising campaign for the Emergency National Gas Number.
The campaign is the end result of a collaboration between the UK’s four national gas networks – Northern Gas, Scottish & Southern Energy, Wales and West Utilities & NGT, which have joined together to raise awareness of the Emergency Gas Number – 0800 111999.
The ‘Wherever you are, whatever you do” campaign has been created to prevent gas-related deaths during the winter.
The commercial will run until mid January, airing on ITV1, ITV2, ITV3, ITV4 and Men & Motors.
The agency has also launched a new TV advertising campaign for Mica, the independent hardware stores group. The activity will be Mica’s first time using TV for its advertising.
“We are toping and tailing the commercial breaks with a 5 second ad at the intro of the commercial breaks and then a 25 second ad at the end of the commercial breaks,” commented Golley Slater media director Ian James.
Completing a hat-trick of projects, the agency has been appointed to handle PR for Birkenhead-based call centre group, The Contract Company.
Golley Slater has been tasked with building awareness of the call centre business in national, regional and trade publications.
The wins come amid speculation that David Wilson Homes has ended its relationship with Golley Slater Birmingham with the appointment of Surrey-based agency, Phoenix.
The property builder hosted a five-way pitch towards the end of 2006, involving a number of Midlands agencies, for its creative account.
