Balance creates intro for sony video games

Liverpool-based advertising and design agency Balance has created a new animated logo for Sony Computer Entertainment Group (SCEG).
The project, which was won through a tender process, has seen Balance create a logo that will feature on all of Sony\'s video games for a range of different consoles.
Ivan Davies, senior producer at SCEG, said: \"Balance has hit the creative nail on the head every time and delivered exactly what Sony hoped for. We knew the guys would do a good job, but the final piece far exceeded our expectations.\"
Meanwhile, the agency has won the contract to produce corporate branding for Arena and Conference Centre, Liverpool (ACCL) - a new development at King\'s Dock that is being built to coincide with the run up to the Capital of Culture 2008.
The account will involve campaign activity in the run-up to and beyond the launch of the ACCL. A pre-opening corporate brochure and a series of press ads will be central to the activity.
ACCL\'s general manager Tim Branfield said: \"Martin [Thornton] and Paul [Collins, the founding partners of Balance] have been a pleasure to work with, their creativity, patience and professionalism has made a huge difference in delivering our first brochure and corporate ad.\"
Creative director, Thornton said: \"Our success is built upon creative and practical ideas and this approach played an important part in us winning the work from Sony and ACCL. We are delighted to be involved with the new arena which will be a landmark development for Liverpool.\"
