Propaganda loses eight in wake of ghd loss

Propaganda has made eight people redundant following the handover of the ghd account to BDH\\TBWA.
The redundancies include three creatives and an account handler.
Mike Phillipson, managing director of Propaganda, played down the redundancies saying the agency was actually looking to take on three senior hirings in the next few weeks.
Phillipson said he was in the process of hiring a creative director and an interactive director, identifying the interactive side of the business as being one he was looking to bolster.
Propaganda resigned the ghd account, speculated to be worth around £4 million to the agency, late last year. Although neither the client or the agency have commented on the reasons for the resignation of Propaganda’s chairman Julian Kynaston from the ghd board, it is thought the split was acrimonious.
