Elmwood Leeds’ managing director, Nick Ramshaw, has been appointed as one of four new directors of Leeds Media.
Leeds Media works to develop and promote the city’s media, marketing and e-business sectors and has 240 members based in and around Leeds.
Ramshaw is already a member of the Design Business Association’s board and in his new role he will aim to raise the profile of design and media within the region.
Ramshaw said: “Having just moved back to Yorkshire, I am very keen to play my part in the media industries in Leeds and help develop what is already a very successful sector. Continued success is critical to the future growth of the city. I think Leeds Media has the ideas, people and support to deliver this and I’m delighted to be part of the team.”
Also newly appointed this month are Dirk Mischendahl, chairman of Logistik, Sean Costello, head of marketing at PricewaterhouseCoopers and Roger Cutsforth, station director of Galaxy Yorkshire.
Meanwhile, Leeds Media has launched a new website, created by a member, MezzoFilms. The site will serve the group’s 240 members and will promote the creative industry in the region.
