3d8, the interior design arm of Glasgow-based agency D8, has appointed a new senior designer in Susan Taylor.
Taylor joins the agency from the Curious Group, where she has worked for the past nine years.
Her recent projects at Curious Group include the design of Oscars Bar in Edinburgh; a suite of “highly themed” bedrooms for Saltire Taverns’ Le Monde Hotel – including the space planning of the overall floor map for the site; and Deep 6 at Glasgow University, a bar for DJs and pre-concert crowds, with a brief to make it “animal proof”.
Speaking of her appointment, Taylor said: “I knew that D8 and 3d8 was a diverse company whose work I respected, and after a chat about their forthcoming projects I was excited by the chance to be on board.
“Being a smaller company, my role as senior designer can expand and grow along with 3d8.
“Our current projects include Learning Centers, an exhibition for Scottish Power, the design of a chain of city centre restaurants, a cafe bar, and a couple of prestigious London penthouses.
“And D8 is also moving to the newest, most disgustingly cool offices.”
