Seager takes on MD role at S&N UK in re-shuffle

Tim Seager, the marketing director of Scottish & Newcastle UK, is to take on the role of acting managing director, leaving the top marketing role at the brewer vacant.
Seagar – who has been in the role of marketing director for over three years – will take on the position with immediate effect.
The move comes as the current managing director, John Dunsmore, moves to the post of managing director for the brewer’s Western Europe division.
Nigel Pollard, head of PR and sponsorship for Scottish & Newcastle UK, told The Drum; “Tim’s appointment is very much a reflection of his success. Quite clearly in the interim, he’ll be keeping a close eye on the marketing.”
Seager won marketer of the year at the Marketing Society of Scotland’s Marketing Excellence Awards in 2006 and has been largely responsible for growing market share of S&N UK’s entire brand portfolio.
Seagar’s replacement will be announced ‘in due course’, but Paul Bartlett, currently consumer marketing director, is hotly tipped for the position.
