...As VisitScotland chooses The Union over 1576 for two press projects

VisitScotland has appointed The Union to work on a chunk of its consumer account. The Union has been tasked with working on two projects for VisitScotland, based on a brief which was given to it and the tourism body’s incumbent, 1576. Both projects are for press campaigns.
The move has raised eyebrows across the industry, however, a spokesperson for VisitScotland said: “We still continue to work with 1576...The Union has been working with us on a project basis, as they are one of the members of the Scottish Executive roster of agencies.”
1576 MD David Reid added: "The Union is on VisitScotland's roster now and from time to time I would expect them to be used on certain projects. It would be presumptuous in the extreme for me to expect that 1576 would get every through-the-line piece of communication that VisitScotland requires to be executed.
