Civic and New Media Corp launch Second Life agency

Civic and New Media Corp have launched an online PR and marketing presence on Second Life.
The online agency, Civic New Media has been created to provide “a gateway for clients into the global Civic New Media Village”.
The online agency will act as a social marketing and virtual world where clients can enter and explore the Civic New Media Village, use its facilities, and then hold real-time meetings in the virtual space and suggest ideas and designs for phase two of The Village.
Arvind Salwan, managing director of New Media Corp, said: “From Reuters to the BBC, from Coca-Cola to Adidas, more and more companies and organisations are setting up home and connecting with audiences in this exciting virtual world. We felt an obligation to pick up the baton and create a new voice for both clients and the creative industries.”
Salwan continued: “It will save time and money, and visual content will be viewed in a way that the web isn’t rich enough to offer yet. We’ll create ways for clients to speak out to the real world from within Second Life, as opposed to the other way round.”
