Following a review of its marketing department, Aegon Asset Management has seen the loss of several members of its marketing team.
As a result of the review, a ‘restructure’ of Aegon Asset Management’s marketing department saw Gary Latimer, head of marketing communications and Paul Fitzmaurice, marketing communications manager take redundancy, while Irene Brodie, previously head of marketing has also left ‘by mutual consent’. Peter Foster has been appointed as interim head of marketing, having previously had 24 years marketing experience in the fund management arena.
Foster was previously director of marketing development at Zurich, director of marketing at Robert Fleming and had roles at Commercial Union and Prudential.
He has most recently worked agency side as a partner in a consultancy.
According to a spokesperson for Aegon, “The main driver for this change has been our desire to extend our market penetration from our current base.”
