Four23 creates brand for Adidas Originals Liverpool store

Manchester-based creative agency four23 has completed the launch of the new Adidas Originals-brand store in Liverpool.

Prior to the store’s October 17 opening, four23 ran a series of teaser ads in local publications and dispatched on tour a giant shoebox which was placed in prominent locations around the city in the seven-day run up to the launch.

The official opening was preceded by a launch party in the store based on the theme of ‘Liverpool Originals’. It featured a menu created from Liverpool ingredients, special cocktails and a DJ set from city icon and Echo and the Bunnymen founder, Will Sergeant.

The Liverpool launch is four23’ s latest store opening for Adidas, having led the campaigns for the German sportswear giant’s concept boutiques in Amsterdam, Antwerp and Copenhagen.

Warren Bramley, four23 co-founder and creative director, said: “We make sure that with any location specific launch - whether that’s Antwerp or Amsterdam - the whole campaign comes from the City itself.

“With the Liverpool launch we were very precise to ensure every artist, poet, chef, illustrator - everybody working on the launch - was actually living and working within the city.”
