Sanderson Joins Gratterpalm

Emma Sanderson has told The Drum about what the future holds for Leeds-based agency Gratterpalm, after becoming its new business development director.

Sanderson made the cross-city switch from Principles Agency at the end of September, and has big plans for retail marketing specialists Gratterpalm.

She said: “Gratterpalm wants to reposition itself as an advertising agency, and with my background in advertising it was the ideal opportunity. The whole retail side of things was of real interest to me as well.”

While Sanderson acknowledges the agency’s retail marketing strength, pointing to clients include Asda, DFS and Focus DIY, she’s excited about the challenge of taking the agency in a new direction.

“We’re going after more premium retail and advertising business. We won’t forget our retail marketing roots but we want to add the advertising side and we’ve got the creative talent here to handle that.”
