BJL creates campaign for Manchester charity

BJL has created an integrated advertising campaign for Manchester-based charity Versus Cancer, which was set up by former Smiths guitarist Andy Rourke and his manager Nova Rehman in 2005.

Versus Cancer stages one off concerts to raise funds for cancer research and support groups, and to help raise awareness of the need for early detection of the disease. The powerful \'Line Up\' campaign will encourage artists, celebrities and the public alike to stand shoulder to shoulder in the fight against cancer.

The campaign will feature on posters and press ads as well as social networking sites Facebook and Myspace, with uploads available for people to show their support on their personal pages and extend the Versus Cancer community.

BJL director Charlotte Thompson, said: “We wanted to create a visually arresting campaign that worked across all the key disciplines, created a huge buzz around the 2008 gig and really helped to grow the movement.”
