Rippleffect appointed for Worker’s Union and Unite website projects

Digital agency Rippleffect has landed contracts for the Communications Workers Union and the UK’s biggest union, Unite.

Rippleffect, which has offices in Liverpool and Manchester, has redeveloped the CWU website and created a new online portal page for Unite. Both have been tailored to help improve communication with the unions’ members.

The CWU site contains a dedicated area for the union’s 300,000 members with tailored information, email alerts and news of events and lobbying. The Rippleffect team has also developed a bespoke content management system and infrastructure to support the site.

Kevin Slocombe, head of communications at the CWU, said: “The geographic spread of our membership makes online mediums the most immediate and effective means of communication.”
