Hookson secures new Borders university brief

Hookson has won a five-way pitch to develop a marketing and communications strategy for a new Borders-based university campus.

The Scottish Borders Campus, a joint venture between Borders College and Heriot-Watt University, based in Galashiels, has briefed Hookson to undertake research with stakeholders in order to understand and provide a clear definition and identity for the campus.

From this research a brand positioning will be developed before a marketing and communications strategy is implemented by the team.

Kirsty Macgregor, PR manager for Heriot-Watt University, said: “Hookson faced strong competition to win this unique brand positioning tender.

“This is a very exciting time in Heriot-Watt University’s history and reinforces the university’s commitment to Higher Education in the Scottish Borders,” she added.
