Alan Clements has lost his battle against television company RDF in his bid to be allowed to join SMG.

RDF has won a court order which will prevent Clements from joining the Scottish media company until next December.

Clements has claimed that he had been constructively dismissed from RDF and also said that the restrictions in his contract lasted two years which would have allowed him to begin work at SMG this month.

A spokesperson for SMG said: "Although disappointed, we look forward to Alan joining us when he is able to. In the meantime, SMG has a strong and successful content team in place which continues to achieve further successes."
