Merle appoints Anderson as joint creative boss

Advertising / Scotland

Merle has appointed Stuart Anderson to partner Iain Dingwall as joint creative director.

The move follows a short spell at Propaganda for Anderson, who joined the Leeds-based agency in a similar role earlier this year.

Anderson left his senior position at The Union at the start of the year to take the joint creative director role at Propaganda, however the move did not work and, having relocated his family to Yorkshire, he has now accepted the role in Glasgow.

While Propaganda MD Mike Phillipson claimed that Anderson “did not want to work at the agency” and the feeling was mutual, Anderson himself claims that this could not be further from the truth.

However, he did add that he was delighted to be joining Merle and that it was “great to be working with nice people again.”

He will now work across accounts, including Highland Spring, RBS Six Nations, Tyre Plus and Wiseman Dairies.
