Marsden warns Scottish agencies that more tough times are ahead

Speaking at an event in Edinburgh last week, Andrew Marsden, president of the Marketing Society issued a warning that tough times were still ahead.

Marsden, former Britvic marketing director, speaking at the Marketing Society’s annual dinner, claimed that 2008 would continue to be “a very tough year for agencies.”

Marsden explained that the problems faced by agencies would be down to the ‘increasing pressure on credit’ and the changing financial environment: “The impact will be significant and there is no doubt in my mind that this will affect a lot of companies and therefore the marketing elements of those companies,” he said.
